- HOLOCAUST TESTIMONIES AND THEIR AFTERLIVES
10 July – 21 July, 2023This course will investigate the genealogy of the era of the witness, focusing on the emergence of Holocaust testimony as the model for eyewitness documentation of 20th and 21st-century atrocities, and its impact on efforts to record and represent subsequent human rights abuses and acts of mass violence
- TRANSDISCIPLINARY TRAUMA STUDIES: TRAUMA THROUGH CONTEMPORARY AND
HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVES10 July – 15 July, 2023
The seminars cover some of the newest topics in trauma studies, including continuous trauma; catastrophe-related trauma and resilience; digital trauma and trauma-related content curation by algorithmic systems; gendered trauma; migration trauma; human rights and trauma; and the comparative study of historical trauma; representations of trauma in the arts, literature, film.
