Irska na filmu
Ciklus filmova koji predstavlja razlicite poglede na Irsku: od crvenokosih djevojaka do über-zelenog u filmu The Quiet Man do prljavo jednobojnog u Hunger, preko Pat McCabeove halucinogene imaginacije u The Butcher Boy i Breakfast on Pluto. Ekscentrično, i nadamo se zabavno, putovanje kroz različita lica priče o Irskoj.
Filmovi, uz podtitlove na engleskom jeziku, biti će prikazani u Konferencijskoj dvorani na 2. katu Knjižnice. Dr. Aidan O’Malley će dati kratki uvod u svaki film.
Svi ste dobrodosli!
Ireland on Screen
A series that presents some of the different visions of, and perspectives on, Ireland: from the red-headed girls and the über-green of The Quiet Man to the excrement-tinted monochrome of Hunger, via Pat McCabe’s hallucinogenic imagination in The Butcher Boy and Breakfast on Pluto. An eccentric, and hopefully enjoyable, journey through aspects of Ireland’s story.
The films will be screened in the Konferencijska dvorana in the library, 2nd floor. Everyone is welcome to attend—English subtitles will be used. Aidan O’Malley will give a brief introduction to each film.
