Graduation Thesis and Supervision for Graduate Programme –
Master of Education in English Language and Literature

Double-major programme (10 ECTS)

Choosing topic and supervisor
: Possible topics are discussed with the potential supervisors or TEFL Chair. Students need to hand in an application to the departmental secretary office by the last week of February in the student’s second year of graduate studies. The application needs to be signed by both the student and the supervisor.

Length of thesis
: 25-40 pages

Topics should deal with acquisition and teaching of EFL and must include empirical research

Work on thesis: Students work on their thesis during the fourth semester. At the start of the semester students are required to attend a workshop on thesis writing that is organised by the TEFL Section. During the semester students consult with the supervisor, who guides them and follows their progress.

Single-major programme (15 ECTS)
