As we continue marking the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare as part of the global Shakespeare Lives programme, we bring you another treat in cooperation with the Croatian National Theatre: a screening of the film As You Like It<\/em> on 24 April<\/strong> at 8 pm. The film is a recording of the exceptionally successful National Theatre play of the same name directed by Polly Findlay, who staged this famous Shakespeare comedy about love and transformation at the end of 2015 and who will be cooperating with the HNK this year. Don’t miss this unique screening with Croatian subtitles.

Tracing Shakespeare in the Mimara<\/strong> \u2013 opening of the multimedia project, Mimara Museum,
Thursday, 21 April<\/strong>, 7 pm
What do the Mimara Museum and Shakespeare have in common? The answer is: a new and exciting multimedia exhibition and project Tracing Shakespeare in the Mimara<\/em>, with selected exhibits from the rich Museum’s collection hiding the motifs of Shakespeare’s plays and video clips, available via smartphone through a free app. Tracing Shakespeare in the Mimara<\/em> might help you find a story of your own in the dramas of his heroes and heroines. The project remains open until 31 December 2016<\/strong> and is accompanied by an educational programme and film screenings. Maxine Peake, Hamlet at the Museum of Contemporary Arts<\/strong>, Zagreb,

Shakespeare’s most iconic work Hamlet<\/em> explodes with big ideas and is the ultimate story of loyalty, love, betrayal, murder and madness. From its sell-out run at Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre comes a filmed version of this unique and critically acclaimed production of Hamlet<\/em>, with BAFTA nominee Maxine Peake in the title role. This groundbreaking stage production, directed by Sarah Frankcom, was Royal Exchange’s fastest-selling show in a decade.
