 It is our pleasure to announce a series of lectures entitled “Hamlet in 1603” by our faculty member, Dr. Vladimir Brljak.
Lectures are part of the global British Council Project Shakespeare Lives, launched to mark the 400th anniversary of the death of the bard.
Shakespeare Lives will run throughout 2016 and will include an unprecedented number of events and festivities in over 140 countries.

Dr Brljak’s lectures will discuss Hamlet in the context of early performances and editions with special emphasis on the role Hamlet played in the religious and political controversies of the period. Dr. Brljak is currently Thole Research Fellow in English at Trinity Hall, Cambridge.
The lectures will be held at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Ivana Lučića 3,
10000 Zagreb, Croatia.
